Crash detection measures sudden changes in speed, pressure changes in the car, abrupt changes in direction and loud impact noises. This, in combination with the motion algorithm designed through crash tests and public traffic data, ensures that your iPhone immediately identifies a car accident and acts on the right thing: get help. Crash Detection: Possibly the best new feature ever made by Apple, which hopefully never needs to be used.
